Increasing Accessibility through Virtual Reality (VR)

Project Name: Human Centered Design: Perspective Simulations

Methods: Ethnography, interviews, survey, card sorts, and usability testing

Goal: Create a virtual reality (VR) simulation that allows users to experience different environments from the perspective of someone with a physical disability (i.e. wheelchair, ocular impairments, crutches, and walker).

Applications: This virtual reality (VR) simulation will serve as an educational tool for students of interior design and architecture to help increase accessibility and empathy for people with disabilities.
